Poker Basics

By admin November 2nd, 2011, under Online Poker

I understand that this blog will attract not only mature players who know poker basics and most exquisite poker tricks, but also fresh players who know almost nothing and want to learn to play casino games. This post is for them.

Poker – a team card game based on hand value. The game is usually played in several rounds (the accurate number depends on the type of game) and has so-called forced or blind bets. The main variants of poker are: straight poker, stud poker, draw poker and community card poker. The difference lies in the way the cards are dealt and in the way the game is organized.

Straight poker – a complete hand is dealt to each player and the players bet in one round, with raising and re-raising allowed. This type of poker is considered to be the ancestor of modern poker games.

Stud poker – The cards are dealt in a specific, prearranged order (face up and down) in the rounds called street. A street is followed by a betting round.

Draw poker – a complete hand is dealt to each player, face down, then the betting takes place, After the betting you can try to improve your hand.

Community card poker (the most famous variant – Texas Hold’em Poker) – the players are dealt incomplete hands and there exist so-called community cards, which can be used to complete the hand by any of the players.

Why I Prefer Virtual Casinos?

By admin October 2nd, 2011, under Virtual Casinos

This is simple: I’m lazy. I don’t want to spend my time and money on “commuting” to and from online casinos, to feel uneasy under the cold eyes of casino security officers and stay for hours in a stuffy room filled with hundreds of nervous and agitated people. Even after the Black Friday I prefer to play at virtual casinos, though it’s much more risky these days and you cannot be sure you’ll get your money. I make withdrawals every week now and try not to deposit more than 2K. This way if one day they refuse to make a payout, it’ll be less painful for my budget.

I understand the risks, but at the same time I think that virtual casinos have a bunch of advantages over offline ones and I hope that US gambling legislation will become less tough in the near future.

Welcome to Virtual Joe!

By admin September 14th, 2011, under Online Poker

Hi! I’m Joe and if you are reading this, then I can say a few words about you:

1. you like online poker
2. you want to learn more about it
3. you prefer online casinos to land-based ones.
4. None suits you and you have come here occasionally

In case case, welcome and feel at home. I’m not going to write tons of posts on poker rules, tricks, etc. The only advice is: be motivated and use your brain. One more thing: don’t take it too seriously and stay calm. These 4 things are enough to win in online poker and make your living with it. At least, I do.

Special hint for those who care not only about wins, but also about their health:
1. Acai berry
2. toenail fungus
